R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Dan and Leotia Morgan of China Spring |
|
|
celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on March 15, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dan Morgan and the former Leotia Netherland were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Waco on that memorable day in 1940; through |
|
|
the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been |
|
|
made even richer with the addition of three children, Tommy Morgan |
|
|
and his wife, Diane, D. W. Morgan, and Phyllis Thomas, as well as 8 |
|
|
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Morgan is |
|
|
retired from his work as a plumber and Mrs. Morgan has been a |
|
|
devoted homemaker; moreover, both are active in the congregation at |
|
|
Grace Baptist Church of China Spring; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dan and Leotia Morgan have delighted in seven and a |
|
|
half decades of abiding love and affection for one another, and they |
|
|
are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a |
|
|
lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dan and Leotia Morgan on their 75th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them warmest best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
