R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Six talented vocalists from Reicher Catholic High |
|
|
School in Waco were named to the Texas Music Educators Association |
|
|
All-Region Choir in 2014; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selection to the All-Region Choir represents a |
|
|
distinctive honor for choir students in Texas, who advance to this |
|
|
level by achieving top performance ratings in their region as |
|
|
determined by a panel of TMEA judges; the students from Reicher |
|
|
Catholic High School chosen for the ensemble were Jake Ochoa, Grace |
|
|
Banik, Kaleigh Scott, Lucy Coursey, Nikki Thornton, and Jake |
|
|
Alvarez; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These gifted young Texans have demonstrated their |
|
|
commitment to excellence through hard work and many hours of |
|
|
practice, and they can take justifiable pride in their outstanding |
|
|
achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jake Ochoa, Grace Banik, Kaleigh |
|
|
Scott, Lucy Coursey, Nikki Thornton, and Jake Alvarez on their |
|
|
selection as TMEA All-Region Choir members and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for the students as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
|
of Representatives. |
