H.R. No. 1976

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Huffines Auto Dealerships was named Business of the Year at the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon on January 27, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Each year, the Lewisville chamber celebrates the achievements of individuals and businesses who have made notable contributions to the organization or who have otherwise benefited their fellow citizens; and

WHEREAS, Huffines Auto Dealerships has been a valued member of the local business community since opening its doors in 1927; the company plays an active role within the chamber and sponsors several of the organization's events; moreover, it has provided valuable assistance to a number of other worthwhile civic initiatives, raising funds for scholarships and programs for the Lewisville Independent School District and supporting youth sports teams, veterans groups, and local police and fire departments; and

WHEREAS, Through its exceptional efforts, Huffines Auto Dealerships has furthered Lewisville's reputation as a great place to live, work, and raise a family, and the business is indeed deserving of this prestigious award; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Huffines Auto Dealerships on being named Business of the Year by the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and extend to all those associated with the enterprise sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Huffines Auto Dealerships as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
