R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dana Ables is retiring from the Millsap Independent |
|
School District at the end of the 2014-2015 school year, following |
|
nearly a half-century of outstanding service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Ables began teaching first grade at Millsap |
|
Elementary School in 1968; over the course of her career, she has |
|
earned the admiration of students, parents, and fellow educators |
|
alike for her positive attitude and for the nurturing environment |
|
she creates in the classroom; in addition to ensuring that each of |
|
her pupils has a strong academic foundation on which to build, she |
|
has imparted valuable life lessons about hard work and discipline |
|
and also about kindness, compassion, and courtesy to others; and |
|
WHEREAS, This energetic and creative educator serves as a |
|
mentor to many of her fellow teachers while continuing to stay |
|
current with the latest strategies and best practices in her field; |
|
moreover, she has had the pleasure of teaching multiple generations |
|
in a number of area families; and |
|
WHEREAS, Teaching calls for character, commitment, and |
|
passion, and Dana Ables has demonstrated those qualities in |
|
abundance throughout her exemplary 47-year tenure; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dana Ables on her retirement from |
|
the Millsap ISD and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Ables as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
