R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The talented cast and crew of the One-Act Play team
  from Silsbee High School have advanced to University
  Interscholastic League bi-district competition; and
         WHEREAS, Under the guidance of director Jennifer Welch, this
  outstanding troupe impressed the judges at the 2015 district meet
  with its production of To See the Stars by Cynthia Mercati, a play
  based on a true story about young girls protesting the brutal
  working conditions at a factory in New York City in 1909; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to the overall victory of the cast and
  crew, Kennedy Thompson was named to the All-Star Cast and Alex
  Taylor earned an honorable mention for his performance; and
         WHEREAS, Through their talent and hard work, the members of
  the Silsbee High One-Act Play team have brought great credit to
  their school in the dramatic arts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Silsbee High School One-Act
  Play cast and crew for advancing to UIL bi-district competition and
  extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
