R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Aaron Peña, principal of Woodway Elementary School |
|
|
in Waco, has deservedly been named a regional finalist in the |
|
|
Principal Award category of the 2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education |
|
|
Awards, and this achievement indeed merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In cooperation with the Texas Association of School |
|
|
Administrators, the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards celebrate |
|
|
public school professionals whose leadership and commitment |
|
|
inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and |
|
|
abilities; a fitting candidate for the 2015 Principal Award, |
|
|
Mr. Peña received a $1,000 prize and a $2,500 grant for his school |
|
|
for earning regional finalist honors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give generously of their time |
|
|
and talents strengthen the communities in which they live, and it is |
|
|
a pleasure to recognize Aaron Peña for his dedicated work as an |
|
|
administrator and his many contributions to his school; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aaron Peña of Woodway Elementary |
|
|
School on his selection as a regional finalist for the 2015 H-E-B |
|
|
Excellence in Education Principal Award and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
