R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Circle Hardware Supply in Waco is celebrating its |
|
|
70th anniversary in 2015, and this milestone provides a fitting |
|
|
occasion to recognize the business for its contributions to the |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded as Circle Lumber on La Salle Avenue in 1945, |
|
|
this Waco establishment has occupied the same location, just off a |
|
|
traffic circle, ever since, and it is one of the oldest continuously |
|
|
operated enterprises in the city; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Today Circle Hardware Supply is owned by Larry and |
|
|
Norma Dagley, who have expanded and renovated the store, carrying |
|
|
on its seven-decade legacy of outstanding service to its customers; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play a vital |
|
|
role in the prosperity of the Lone Star State, and enterprises such |
|
|
as Circle Hardware Supply that build a record of dependability and |
|
|
longevity enjoy a special degree of esteem in their communities; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 70th anniversary year of Circle |
|
|
Hardware Supply and extend to Larry and Norma Dagley and their staff |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Circle Hardware as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
