R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Samara Davis has been named the 2015 Teacher of the |
|
|
Year at Guerrero Thompson Elementary School in the annual |
|
|
recognition program sponsored by the Austin Independent School |
|
|
District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the communities in which they |
|
|
live; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the |
|
|
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and |
|
|
Samara Davis has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love |
|
|
of learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their |
|
|
lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Samara Davis on her selection as |
|
|
the 2015 Teacher of the Year at Guerrero Thompson Elementary School |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Davis as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
