R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Grady Jones of Hughes Springs celebrated his 95th |
|
|
birthday on January 24, 2015, to the delight of his family and |
|
|
friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Naples, Texas, in 1920, Mr. Jones was a bus |
|
|
driver with the Hughes Springs Independent School District for more |
|
|
than four decades; additionally, he was employed as a mechanic for |
|
|
more than 30 years with McMillian Motor Company; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones is the proud father of five daughters, |
|
|
Dorian James, Deltha Henderson, Daphine Wright, Dorcus Williams, |
|
|
and Dynita Henderson, who treasure the wisdom and insight that |
|
|
their father shares with them; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Meeting life's challenges with resilience and |
|
|
optimism, Grady Jones is an inspiration to many, and he holds a |
|
|
special place in the hearts of all who are privileged to know him; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Grady Jones on his 95th birthday |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
