R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Gaylon and Jean Moore of Scroggins celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on January 22, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in a ceremony officiated by the bride's grandfather, the Reverend |
|
|
George Lester, at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg on that |
|
|
memorable day in 1965, and over the course of their marriage, they |
|
|
have found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their son, Jeffrey, as well as their |
|
|
daughter-in-law, Kristine, and their grandson, Joshua, with whom |
|
|
they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 50 years, Gaylon and Jean |
|
|
Moore can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that |
|
|
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more |
|
|
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gaylon and Jean Moore on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
