H.R. No. 2100
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Corrigan Masonic Lodge No. 1103 celebrated the
  100th anniversary of its founding on March 21, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, One of the world's oldest secular fraternal
  societies, the Masons have a long tradition in Texas, dating back to
  1837, when the first three lodges were established; and
         WHEREAS, Since the adoption of its charter on December 20,
  1914, the Corrigan lodge has served as a source of inspiring
  fraternal unity for many generations of members and has had an
  enduring and positive influence in Polk County; the present lodge
  was erected in 1962, providing members with an official gathering
  place to carry on the tradition of Masonic service and fellowship;
  and
         WHEREAS, The centennial celebration was held in the
  Corrigan-Camden High School cafeteria and drew lodge members as
  well as dignitaries from the Grand Lodge of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, For the past century, the Corrigan Masonic Lodge has
  played an important role in the Corrigan community, and it is indeed
  appropriate that its members, both past and present, be recognized
  for their dedication and service; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate all those associated with Corrigan
  Masonic Lodge No. 1103 on their organization's 100th anniversary
  and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the lodge as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
