R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Students from Kountze High School made an impressive
  showing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art contest
  on January 17, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, The group competed against local art students to win
  medals, trophies, cash prizes, and the opportunity to attend
  advanced art camps; and
         WHEREAS, A number of Kountze students participated in the
  two-dimensional category, including Echo Dillon, Shelby Frazier,
  Josie Gunter, Kiley Rankin, Dadrian Akbar, Caleb Atkins, Austin
  Baker, Keke Barry, Bridget Bell, Grace Cunningham, Jesse Enahoro,
  Kruz Foshee, Harlee Weyler, Dylan Gallion, Adrianna Gatewood,
  Deontre Haynes, Tim Hoke, Jamarcus Huntsberry, My'Treann McDaniel,
  Alexis Silcox, Coy Smart, Carli Swor, Summer Brown, Jesse Hall, and
  Gavin Robles; in addition, Noah Roehr and Robert Summerall entered
  the competition in the three-dimensional category; and
         WHEREAS, Josie Gunter and Kiley Rankin each received a gold
  medal award, and Summer Brown won the Best of Show award, earning a
  scholarship to a summer art program hosted by Schreiner University
  and the Museum of Western Art in Kerrville; all three will advance
  to the Grand Prix round; and
         WHEREAS, These talented artists are a source of great pride
  to their families, their school, and their community, and they are
  indeed deserving of recognition for their participation in this
  contest; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the Kountze High School students who
  competed in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art contest
  and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
  for the students as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
  of Representatives.
