R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Deputy Chief Jeff Matthews has rendered outstanding |
|
|
service to his fellow North Texas residents during his 30-year |
|
|
career with the Arlington Police Department; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The well-being of a community depends on the skill |
|
|
and courage of its police personnel, as well as on their steadfast |
|
|
commitment to serve and protect; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A respected public servant, Deputy Chief Matthews |
|
|
can take justifiable pride in the contributions he has made in |
|
|
safeguarding the lives and property of local citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished tenure, Deputy Chief |
|
|
Matthews has exemplified the highest ideals of the law enforcement |
|
|
profession, and he is indeed deserving of recognition for a job well |
|
|
done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Deputy Chief Jeff Matthews for his 30 |
|
|
years of service with the Arlington Police Department and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success in his vital work; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Deputy Chief Matthews as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
