R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The loved ones of Guadalupe L. Garcia of Corpus
  Christi were greatly saddened by his passing on March 30, 2015, at
  the age of 79; and
         WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Buddie," Guadalupe Garcia
  was born on June 18, 1935, in Barranco Blanco Ranch to Ernesto and
  Elmira Laurel Garcia; he was a talented member of the Benavides High
  School football team, and he later served his country with
  distinction in the United States Army; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Garcia was blessed with
  the love and support of his wife of 56 years, Hilda; he was the proud
  father of Annabel, Hilda, Rolando, and Orlando, and he doted on his
  grandchildren and great-granddaughter; in his leisure time, he
  enjoyed visiting his ranch, hunting with his sons and grandsons,
  and attending dances with his wife; and
         WHEREAS, Guadalupe Garcia cherished the time he spent in the
  company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind will
  in turn treasure their memories of this kind and caring man; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Guadalupe L. Garcia
  and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Hilda R. Garcia; to his children, Annabel Garcia Cano, Hilda
  Lathrop, Rolando Garcia and his wife, Doris, and Orlando Garcia; to
  his grandchildren, Juan, Joseph, Javier, Dayne, Jacob, Desiree and
  her husband, Eddie, Payge, and Christopher; to his
  great-grandchild, Alaura Frances; to his sister, Lydia Barrera, and
  her husband, Alfelio; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Guadalupe
  Garcia.
