R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Constable Carl M. Bisbee of the Nueces County |
|
|
Constable's Office lost his life in the line of duty on July 6, |
|
|
1925, and his service and sacrifice will not soon be forgotten; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An officer with three years of experience in the |
|
|
department, Constable Bisbee was attempting to arrest a group of |
|
|
men alongside his partner, Deputy Constable R. R. Bledsoe, when the |
|
|
suspects drew handguns and fatally shot both constables; at the |
|
|
time of his death, he was survived by his wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Our state and nation benefit immeasurably from the |
|
|
courage and commitment of law enforcement professionals such as |
|
|
Constable Carl Bisbee, who willingly place themselves in harm's way |
|
|
each day to safeguard the lives and property of their fellow |
|
|
citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life and exemplary service of |
|
|
Constable Carl M. Bisbee of the Nueces County Constable's Office. |
