R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gary Gandara can take well-deserved pride in the |
|
|
outstanding service he has rendered to the residents of his |
|
|
community as a member of the Socorro Independent School District |
|
|
Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In a job that requires effective collaboration with |
|
|
administrators, classroom teachers, and parents, Mr. Gandara has |
|
|
worked tirelessly to ensure the best possible instruction and |
|
|
resources for pupils by making policy decisions that promote |
|
|
academic achievement and advance the quality of the district's |
|
|
schools; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Socorro High School, Mr. Gandara |
|
|
served on the Socorro City Council from 2002 to 2007 and was elected |
|
|
to the area school board in 2009; he is employed as the vice |
|
|
president of operations for Socorro Iron and Metal, and he |
|
|
concurrently holds a seat on the board of the El Paso Central |
|
|
Appraisal District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his unwavering commitment to Socorro ISD |
|
|
students and staff, Gary Gandara is leading the way in fostering a |
|
|
supportive and challenging educational environment, and he has |
|
|
earned the deep respect and appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Gary Gandara for his service on the |
|
|
Socorro ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, Than an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gandara as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
