R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Robinson FFA floriculture judging team earned |
|
|
great distinction with a third-place finish at the Tarleton |
|
|
Invitational FFA Career Development Event Judging Contest held on |
|
|
March 26, 2015, at Tarleton State University in Stephenville; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This annual event brings together more than 10,000 |
|
|
FFA members from over 400 high schools across the Lone Star State to |
|
|
compete in 17 contests; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Robinson FFA floriculture judging team, |
|
|
consisting of Mandi Leavelle, Lilia Zertuche, Natalie Cox, Karina |
|
|
Ramos, and Kathryn Faust, registered a score of 438.1295 to finish |
|
|
third out of 160 teams vying for the title; the squad's instructor, |
|
|
Beth Ramsdell, was honored with a Top 5 Coaches award for her |
|
|
outstanding guidance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their participation in the study of |
|
|
agriculture, these talented young Texans have demonstrated great |
|
|
initiative and ability, and they may indeed look forward to a future |
|
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the members of the Robinson FFA floriculture |
|
|
judging team be congratulated on their third-place finish at the |
|
|
Tarleton Invitational FFA Career Development Event Judging Contest |
|
|
and that the students and their instructor, Beth Ramsdell, be |
|
|
extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
