R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The members of the Friendswood High School
  Wranglerettes were crowned grand champions at the Crowd Pleasers
  Senior State Championship on March 7, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Impressing judges with their dazzling routines, the
  Wranglerettes earned the prestigious title by receiving high marks
  in technique, choreography, showmanship, audience appeal, and
  artistry and capturing top honors in the large high school kick,
  pom, jazz, and contemporary team categories; and
         WHEREAS, Adding to the squad's notable victories, the dance
  officers were named state champions after eclipsing competitors in
  the jazz, lyrical, and hip hop categories, and the social officers
  also placed first in their event; and
         WHEREAS, By averaging a score of 95 or higher in three
  routines, the Wranglerettes qualified for Elite Circle honors,
  which includes invitations to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving
  Day Parade and the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl halftime show on
  New Year's Day; and
         WHEREAS, Under the guidance of assistant director Alyssa
  Falcone, these talented and hardworking students have proven
  themselves as one of the premier dance squads in the state, and they
  are indeed a source of great pride for their school and community;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Friendswood High School
  Wranglerettes on being named grand champion at the 2015 Crowd
  Pleasers Senior State Championship and extend to all those
  associated with the group sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Wranglerettes as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
