R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Irene D. Jaquez can take well-deserved pride in the |
|
|
outstanding service she has rendered to her community as a member of |
|
|
the San Elizario Independent School District Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In a job that requires the commitment of public |
|
|
support and effective collaboration with parents, teachers, and |
|
|
administrators, Ms. Jaquez has worked tirelessly to advance the |
|
|
quality of schools in her district; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable Texan joined the board in 2006, and |
|
|
during her tenure, she has served as president and secretary; a |
|
|
Spanish teacher, she has also distinguished herself as a leader of |
|
|
the Far West Texas School Boards Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her unwavering dedication to the students |
|
|
and staff of San Elizario ISD, Irene Jaquez has helped foster a |
|
|
supportive and challenging educational environment, and in so |
|
|
doing, she has earned the respect and appreciation of her fellow |
|
|
residents; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Irene D. Jaquez for her service to the San |
|
|
Elizario ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Jaquez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
