R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Ouida
  Mae Edwards Dulany of Belton, who passed away on March 30, 2015, at
  the age of 86; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Eva Ray and Monroe Edwards,
  Mrs. Dulany was born in Baker, Louisiana, on January 24, 1929; she
  graduated from Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge in 1946 and went
  on to study business at Northwestern State College in Natchitoches;
  subsequently, she worked a variety of secretarial jobs before
  moving to Belton in 1961 and joining the University of Mary
  Hardin-Baylor as the president's administrative assistant; she
  held that position for many years, earning honorary membership in
  the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Alumni Association, and
  retired in 1996; and
         WHEREAS, In 1950, the former Ouida Edwards married the love
  of her life, George Benjamin "Benny" Dulany, with whom she shared a
  rewarding union that spanned 57 years; the couple became the proud
  parents of three children, George, Daryl, and Dianah, and they were
  further blessed with three grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, and
  Madison, and a great-grandchild, Bentley; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Dulany gave generously of her time and energy
  to a number of worthy organizations, including Altrusa
  International, Republican Women, the Belton Area Chamber of
  Commerce, Friends of the Lena Armstrong Public Library, and PEO;
  sustained by a deep and abiding faith, she was also an active member
  of First Baptist Church of Belton, where she taught Sunday school
  for several years; and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to her family, her faith, and her community,
  Ouida Dulany touched the lives of many with her kindness and her
  buoyant spirit, and all who cherished this beloved woman will
  forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ouida Dulany and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her sons,
  George B. Dulany Jr. and Daryl Dulany; to her daughter, Dianah
  Dulany; to her daughter-in-law, Laure; to her grandchildren, Jacob,
  Zachary, and Madison; to her great-grandchild, Bentley; to her
  sister, Barbara Jean Ables Downing; to her sister-in-law,
  Georgeanna Losavio; and to her other relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ouida Mae
  Edwards Dulany.
