R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Sonny and Bernice Jewell of Buna celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on April 10, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jewell exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
at Buna Missionary Baptist Church on that memorable day in 1965, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes their children, Alicia Ann "Lisa" Jewell and Larry |
|
|
Wayne Jewell and his wife, Bethany, as well as their two |
|
|
grandchildren, Abbie and Bryce Jewell, with whom they treasure |
|
|
spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Sonny and |
|
|
Bernice Jewell can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sonny and Bernice Jewell on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
