R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Chase Wolf of Waco has been awarded a scholarship |
|
|
from the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The foundation is the philanthropic arm of the |
|
|
Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, Inc., which is |
|
|
providing a total of 261 scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic |
|
|
year to exemplary undergraduate students who are the children or |
|
|
grandchildren of former agents or the children of graduates of the |
|
|
FBI National Academy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selection for the honor is based on academic |
|
|
credentials as well as on such criteria as leadership, community |
|
|
involvement, and financial need; Mr. Wolf is the grandson of former |
|
|
agent Claude Duffy Brown and is currently studying at Baylor |
|
|
University; he graduated from Midway High School, where he |
|
|
participated in the National Honor Society, orchestra, and the |
|
|
football and track and field teams, in addition to attaining the |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A most deserving recipient, this outstanding young |
|
|
Texan has demonstrated impressive drive and ability as he works |
|
|
toward his scholastic and personal goals, and he may indeed look |
|
|
forward to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Chase Wolf on his receipt of a |
|
|
scholarship from the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wolf as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
