R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Haleigh Bacon and Cari Croninger of Callisburg High
  School earned first place in the Division 1 animation category of
  the 2015 University Interscholastic League State Film Contest; and
         WHEREAS, With their two-minute animated film, Home, the duo
  triumphed over more than 600 other entries from across the state,
  and they collected their award at the UIL Young Filmmakers
  Festival, held at the Paramount Theatre in Austin on February 18;
  and
         WHEREAS, The film tells the story of a boy searching for an
  elusive sense of "home," and it was written and directed by
  Ms. Bacon; the animation, which was praised for its creative detail
  and professional quality, was completed by Ms. Croninger; the young
  filmmakers were ably guided in their collaboration by computer
  science teacher and UIL coach Stephanie Striplin; and
         WHEREAS, Haleigh Bacon and Cari Croninger have shown great
  initiative and ability as they have worked to achieve their
  artistic goals, and they may indeed look forward to a future bright
  with promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Haleigh Bacon and Cari Croninger on
  winning first place in the Division 1 animation category of the 2015
  UIL State Film Contest and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Bacon and Ms. Croninger as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
