R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jake Kahla received well-deserved recognition when |
|
|
he was named Athlete of the Week at Jasper Junior High School in |
|
|
2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Joe Glenn and Karen Kahla, |
|
|
Jake Kahla has distinguished himself through his involvement in a |
|
|
variety of sports; in addition to participating in football and |
|
|
basketball, he is a member of the JJHS track and field team, and he |
|
|
recently placed first in the pole vault and second in the high jump |
|
|
events at the district track meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This young athlete's skill and determination are an |
|
|
inspiration to his teammates, his coaches, and his fellow students, |
|
|
and he may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jake Kahla on his selection as |
|
|
Jasper Junior High School Athlete of the Week and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Kahla as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
