R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Kiwanis Club of Waco Seniors has made a positive |
|
|
difference in the lives of many young Central Texans; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to changing the world one child and one |
|
|
community at a time, the organization supports a variety of |
|
|
worthwhile initiatives to benefit area youth; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Among those individuals who are active in the club |
|
|
are a number of distinguished veterans who ably served this state |
|
|
and nation at home and abroad and who continue to serve their fellow |
|
|
citizens today through their selfless volunteerism; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Kiwanis Club of Waco Seniors is committed to |
|
|
bettering the world in which we live, and its members may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in their shared legacy of good works; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the members of the Kiwanis Club of Waco |
|
|
Seniors for their charitable efforts and extend to them sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
