R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Goldthwaite High School senior Jayci Padgett earned
  great distinction when she was named to the Texas Association of
  Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls Coaches Association 2015
  Class 2A All-State Teams; and
         WHEREAS, Although her three-month rehabilitation from labrum
  surgery sidelined her for the first 15 games of the 2014-2015
  season, Jayci Padgett made a fierce comeback in December to help
  lead the Lady Eagles to their 20th consecutive 20-win year and a
  playoff berth; in the postseason, she averaged 18 points a game
  during her team's march to the quarterfinals, where her season drew
  to a close with a hard-fought 60-42 loss against Windthorst High
  School; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to garnering All-State honors for the
  third consecutive year, this talented center was recognized for her
  inspired play on the hardwood by being named to the TABC and TGCA
  Academic All-State Teams, the TABC Class 2A All-Region II Team, and
  the Abilene Reporter-News Class 2A All-Big Country first team; and
         WHEREAS, Benefiting from the guidance of head coach Angie
  Hermesmeyer, this dedicated student-athlete has established
  herself as one of the top 2A basketball players in the Lone Star
  State, and she may indeed take justifiable pride in this
  accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jayci Padgett on her selection for
  the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the Texas Girls
  Coaches Association 2015 Class 2A All-State Teams and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Padgett as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
