R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ken Bedford is retiring as a school resource officer |
|
|
with the North Richland Hills Police Department on June 5, 2015, |
|
|
concluding an exemplary career that spanned more than 30 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Officer Bedford began his tenure with the department |
|
|
on March 1, 1985; he served as a patrol officer and went on to become |
|
|
a school resource officer, working in the community services |
|
|
section at both the middle and high school levels; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Officer Bedford has been |
|
|
recognized for his exceptional work; he has received 68 letters of |
|
|
commendation for his dedication to his community and to students |
|
|
and school personnel, and he has attained safe driving awards for |
|
|
both 20-year and 25-year milestones; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Officer Ken Bedford's steadfast commitment to |
|
|
public safety has greatly benefited the citizens of North Richland |
|
|
Hills, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent |
|
|
as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Ken Bedford on his |
|
|
retirement from the North Richland Hills Police Department and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Officer Bedford as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
