R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Frank Leonard Bohac of Houston on March 9, 2014, at the
  age of 84; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Vojtech and Marcella Bohac, Frank Bohac
  was born on November 13, 1929, in the community of Ammannsville in
  Fayette County; he served his nation in the United States Army and
  was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict; after
  faithfully completing his enlistment, he began a career with
  Central Freight Lines in Houston, where he worked up until his
  retirement; and
         WHEREAS, In 1956, Mr. Bohac was joined in matrimony to Rose
  Marie, and they became the parents of two daughters, Theresa and
  Vickie, during the 35 years they shared; following her death, he was
  fortunate enough to find love a second time when he reconnected with
  his childhood friend, Estelle Kaluza Poole, beginning a
  correspondence that soon blossomed into romance; the couple
  exchanged wedding vows on New Year's Eve of 1994 and enjoyed a
  rewarding marriage until her passing; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Bohac remained active during his retirement
  years, playing a prominent role in his congregation at
  St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, where he was a
  member of the Knights of Columbus Council; he was also a member of
  St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Houston and a Fourth Degree
  Knight at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Freeport, as
  well as a member of SPJST Lodge No. 88 in Houston; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan took great pride in his blended
  family, which included three stepsons, Darrell, Dean, and Durwin,
  and many treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his
  favorite pastimes were gardening and playing taroky, and he
  belonged to the Polka Lovers Klub of America; additionally, he
  found fulfillment in the weekly volunteer work he did at a local
  food pantry and in the support he gave to other charitable causes;
  and
         WHEREAS, Although Frank Bohac will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in
  the hearts of his family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Frank Leonard Bohac
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  daughter, Theresa Bohac, and her fiancé, Jason Krisher; to his
  son-in-law, Michael Mobley; to his stepsons, Darrell Pawelka and
  his wife, Glenda, Dean Pawelka and his wife, Shirley, and Durwin
  Pawelka; to his stepdaughter-in-law, Rachel Pawelka; to his
  grandchildren, Douglas Mobley, Cynthia Huddleston and her husband,
  Jeremy, Renee Pawelka and her husband, Cody, Chelsea Erickson,
  Ashley, Dane, Jennifer, and Jonathan Pawelka, and Stephen and
  Michael Forkum; to his great-grandchildren, Mikayla Mobley, Logan
  and Eli Huddleston, C. J. Erickson, and Caleb, Madison, and Caimyn
  Maddox; to his brother, Ben Bohac, and his wife, Mildred; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Frank
  Leonard Bohac.
