R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Jalil Hanna Foty of Missouri City, who passed away on June 15, |
|
2014, at the age of 79; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on November 4, 1934, in Ramallah, Palestine, |
|
Jalil Foty was the son of Hanna and Jamila Foty; he was raised with |
|
the companionship of two siblings, his sister, Jalila, and his |
|
brother, Mufid; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Foty immigrated to the United States, making his |
|
home in the Houston area, and shared a rewarding relationship with |
|
his wife, Lillian; he was the proud father of six children, Imad, |
|
Nihad, Fuad, Jihad, Dina, and Ghada, and with the passing years, he |
|
had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include 20 |
|
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jalil Hanna Foty enjoyed a life that was rich in the |
|
intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those |
|
who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jalil Hanna Foty and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Lillian Zaybak Foty; to his sons, Nihad Foty and his wife, Jean, |
|
Fuad Foty and his wife, Mona, and Jihad Foty; to his daughters, Dina |
|
Ibrahim Shanar and Ghada Foty Saifi and her husband, Samer; to his |
|
brother, Mufid Foteh, and his wife, Suhaila; to his grandchildren |
|
and great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jalil Hanna |
|
Foty. |
