R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Students from Business Careers High School in San
  Antonio distinguished themselves through their achievements at the
  Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference,
  held in Dallas from March 4 through 7, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Business Professionals of America works to develop a
  strong workforce through the advancement of leadership,
  citizenship, academic, and technological skills; the State
  Leadership Conference gives students an opportunity to take part in
  a variety of projects and presentations, and the BCHS participants
  represented their school in team and individual events in the areas
  of finance, business management, digital communication, and
  information technology; and
         WHEREAS, Working together to excel in their competition, the
  network design team, composed of Latrell Gaither, Elias Villegas,
  Omar Rodriguez, and Jacob Garza, earned fifth place; in individual
  events, David Neal captured second place in computer security,
  Samantha Villanueva placed sixth in SQL database fundamentals,
  Brynne Manning took ninth place in C++ programming, and Kat Flipse
  placed 12th in legal office procedures; all students were ably
  guided by their sponsors, Jan Breitbarth, Diana Johnston, and Norma
  Arismendez, with additional encouragement from BCHS principal
  Randy Neuenfeldt; and
         WHEREAS, Through their participation in the Business
  Professionals of America State Leadership Conference, these
  dedicated students have demonstrated great initiative and ability,
  and they may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the students from Business Careers
  High School on their achievements at the Business Professionals of
  America State Leadership Conference and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
