R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Buna High School boys' golf team competed at the |
|
|
District 23-3A Tournament at Chambers County Golf Course on April |
|
|
6, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Matched up against their league rivals, the Cougars |
|
|
demonstrated poise and skill, shooting a total of 348 to take second |
|
|
place and earn a spot in the regional tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The team was led by Trey Fisher, who carded an 84; he |
|
|
was followed by Tyler Nugent and Denton Holloway, who each scored |
|
|
87, Kreston Richardson, who shot 90, and Lucas Sammons, Tyler |
|
|
Serna, Quade Hebert, and Trent Tamplin, who scored 97, 98, 118, and |
|
|
123, respectively; the players were guided by Buna golf coach |
|
|
Ronnie Loftin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their talent and determination, the members |
|
|
of the Buna High School boys' golf team have contributed to their |
|
|
school's tradition of athletic excellence, and they may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Buna High School boys' golf |
|
|
team on its success at the district tournament and extend to the |
|
|
players sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
