R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Michael Saladin of Hardin-Jefferson High School |
|
|
received well-deserved recognition when he was named to the 2015 |
|
|
Super Gold Basketball First Team by the Beaumont Enterprise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A junior guard, Mr. Saladin posted averages of 21 |
|
|
points and 2.2 steals per game while connecting on better than 40 |
|
|
percent of his three-point attempts as well as 83 percent from the |
|
|
free throw line; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In helping lead the Hawks to the regional |
|
|
quarterfinals of the University Interscholastic League playoffs, |
|
|
this talented young Texan's outstanding play garnered further |
|
|
honors, including a place on the Texas Association of Basketball |
|
|
Coaches All-State and All-Region squads and selection as the |
|
|
District 24-4A Offensive MVP; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Michael Saladin's hard work and commitment to |
|
|
excellence have been rewarded with this prestigious accolade, and |
|
|
he may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Saladin on being named to |
|
|
the 2015 Super Gold Basketball First Team by the Beaumont |
|
|
Enterprise and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Saladin as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
