R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Maya Fitzpatrick has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as an intern in the office of State Representative Mary González |
|
|
during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Fitzpatrick has |
|
|
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging |
|
|
tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process |
|
|
and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has |
|
|
gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Fitzpatrick, who hails from Cibolo, is the |
|
|
daughter of Debra and Michael Fitzpatrick; she is currently |
|
|
studying government and economics as a freshman at The University |
|
|
of Texas at Austin, where she is in the liberal arts honors program, |
|
|
and she aspires to a career in health care or in education policy |
|
|
and law; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Maya Fitzpatrick for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary |
|
|
González and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Fitzpatrick as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
