R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Maya Fitzpatrick has ably served her fellow Texans
  as an intern in the office of State Representative Mary González
  during the 84th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Fitzpatrick has
  provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging
  tasks; in addition to learning more about the legislative process
  and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has
  gained valuable experience in the field of public service; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Fitzpatrick, who hails from Cibolo, is the
  daughter of Debra and Michael Fitzpatrick; she is currently
  studying government and economics as a freshman at The University
  of Texas at Austin, where she is in the liberal arts honors program,
  and she aspires to a career in health care or in education policy
  and law; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Maya Fitzpatrick for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary
  González and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Fitzpatrick as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
