R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Yesenia Velasquez has ably served the people of |
|
|
Texas as an intern in the office of State Representative Mary |
|
|
González during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Velasquez has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing the Lone Star State, she has gained valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Originally from Gilroy, California, Ms. Velasquez |
|
|
is a first-year master's student at The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin; she is studying curriculum and instruction, and she is |
|
|
active with the Cultural Studies in Education Graduate Student |
|
|
Council; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Yesenia Velasquez has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Yesenia Velasquez for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary |
|
|
González and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Velasquez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
