R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Manuela Luna Castillo on January 31, 2015, at the age of |
|
88; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in San Marcos on October 28, 1926, "Tetesh" |
|
Castillo was a woman of deep faith, and she set a shining example of |
|
compassion and forgiveness toward others throughout her journey on |
|
this earth; many people turned to her for inspiration and counsel, |
|
and she comforted them with her heartfelt prayers; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Castillo was the devoted mother of three |
|
daughters, Rosemarie, Martha, and Victoria, and three sons, Manuel, |
|
Victor, and Darrell; she loved singing and visiting garage sales, |
|
and she also enjoyed watching action videos; and |
|
WHEREAS, Thoughtful, kind, and caring, Manuela Luna Castillo |
|
provided solace and guidance to those in need, and although she is |
|
deeply missed by her loved ones, they will forever remember the many |
|
ways in which she enriched their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Manuela Luna |
|
Castillo and extend sincere condolences to the members of her |
|
family: to her children, Rosemarie Romero Rodriguez, Martha Romero |
|
Garza, Manuel Romero, Victor Bonilla, Victoria Bonilla Leavitt, and |
|
Darrell Castillo; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Manuela |
|
Luna Castillo. |
