R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Zackary Griffin of Wolf City has ably served his |
|
|
fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative |
|
|
James White during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas |
|
|
Legislative Internship Program, Mr. Griffin has provided vital |
|
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in |
|
|
addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Varonica and Steve Griffin, Mr. Griffin |
|
|
is a senior political science major at Stephen F. Austin State |
|
|
University; involved in student life and the community, he has |
|
|
worked in the Residence Department, hosting events and enforcing |
|
|
university regulations, and he is an executive officer in Driving |
|
|
Jacks, an organization that provides safe, free, and confidential |
|
|
rides home to all Nacogdoches residents; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Zackary Griffin for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative James |
|
|
White and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in |
|
|
all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Griffin as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
