R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jonathan Covey has ably served his fellow Texans as
  chief of staff in the office of State Representative James White
  during the 84th Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Since becoming a legislative employee, Mr. Covey
  has contributed to the workings of state government firsthand;
  undertaking a wide variety of challenging tasks, he has provided
  vital leadership and helped ensure the efficient operation of the
  representative's office; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Covey joined the staff of Representative White
  in September 2014; previously, he was a constituent services
  representative in the district casework office of a member of the
  United States House of Representatives; a graduate of Thomas Edison
  State College in New Jersey, he is a fourth-year student at Oak
  Brook College of Law, where he has served as a teacher's assistant;
  he has also completed a clerkship in the Orange County District
  Attorney's Office; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his
  duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Jonathan Covey for his service as chief
  of staff in the office of State Representative James White and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Covey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
