R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jonathan Covey has ably served his fellow Texans as |
|
chief of staff in the office of State Representative James White |
|
during the 84th Legislature; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since becoming a legislative employee, Mr. Covey |
|
has contributed to the workings of state government firsthand; |
|
undertaking a wide variety of challenging tasks, he has provided |
|
vital leadership and helped ensure the efficient operation of the |
|
representative's office; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Covey joined the staff of Representative White |
|
in September 2014; previously, he was a constituent services |
|
representative in the district casework office of a member of the |
|
United States House of Representatives; a graduate of Thomas Edison |
|
State College in New Jersey, he is a fourth-year student at Oak |
|
Brook College of Law, where he has served as a teacher's assistant; |
|
he has also completed a clerkship in the Orange County District |
|
Attorney's Office; and |
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his |
|
duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Jonathan Covey for his service as chief |
|
of staff in the office of State Representative James White and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Covey as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
