R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dan Luiton has ably served his fellow Texans as an |
|
|
intern in the office of State Representative Mary González during |
|
|
the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Luiton has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Francisca and Rodrigo |
|
|
Luiton, Mr. Luiton is working toward a bachelor's degree in history |
|
|
at The University of Texas at Austin, and he plans to attend law |
|
|
school after his graduation; he has given generously of his time and |
|
|
talents to benefit such worthwhile endeavors as Volunteer Income |
|
|
Tax Assistance, United Way, and the Cameron County Department of |
|
|
Elections Voter Registration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Dan Luiton for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary |
|
|
González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Luiton as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
