R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The talented members of the Titan robotics team of
  Plano ISD Academy High School distinguished themselves during 2015,
  advancing all the way to the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis,
  Missouri; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1989, the FIRST robotics
  competitions encourage young people's interest in science and
  technology by challenging school teams to build and program a robot
  to carry out a specific task; and
         WHEREAS, From February 25 through 28, the Titan robotics team
  took part in the regional contest in Dallas, where it earned the
  Rookie All Star Award and was named Highest Rookie Seed; moreover,
  with their strong showing at the regional event, the Plano students
  qualified for the FIRST World Championship, and they proudly
  represented their school alongside other top competitors from April
  22 to 25; and
         WHEREAS, Through their participation in this exciting and
  demanding program, the members of the Titan robotics team have
  enhanced their knowledge and skills while learning important
  lessons about cooperation and self-confidence, and they may indeed
  take pride in a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Titan robotics team from Plano
  ISD Academy High School on qualifying for and competing in the 2015
  FIRST World Championship and extend to all those involved with the
  team sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
