R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carla Cabrera-Gonzalez has been honored with a 2015 |
|
|
scholarship from the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show |
|
|
Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the association recognizes young people |
|
|
who have distinguished themselves through their participation in |
|
|
the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show, which takes place in |
|
|
January; funded by proceeds raised at the event, the 2015 |
|
|
scholarship awards were presented to 15 area high school seniors |
|
|
based on a range of criteria, including academic achievement, |
|
|
college readiness, and membership in an FFA or a 4-H or Family, |
|
|
Career and Community Leaders of America program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of the Bishop FFA, Carla Cabrera-Gonzalez |
|
|
is graduating from Bishop High School and is looking forward to |
|
|
pursuing a degree in animal science at Texas Tech University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has brought great pride |
|
|
to her family and community, and the exceptional talent, aptitude, |
|
|
and drive that she has demonstrated are certain to serve her well in |
|
|
all her future endeavors; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Carla Cabrera-Gonzalez on her |
|
|
receipt of a 2015 scholarship from the Nueces County Junior |
|
|
Livestock Show Association and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Cabrera-Gonzalez as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
