R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, No words can diminish the pain caused by a life cut |
|
short, but all those who shared in the love and friendship of D'Lisa |
|
Kelley may find comfort in their treasured memories of this special |
|
young woman, who died on March 14, 2014, at the age of 24; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of LaSondra Kelley and Timothy Gunter, |
|
D'Lisa Kelley was born in Dallas on July 24, 1989; she was the |
|
oldest of four children, and she was always very protective of her |
|
younger siblings; after attending W. W. Bushman Elementary School |
|
and O. W. Holmes Middle School, she continued her education at A. |
|
Maceo and North Dallas High Schools; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Kelley was devoted to her son, Dunyae Dupree, |
|
and she loved to bring her relatives together to share each other's |
|
company and enjoy her fine cooking; with her wonderful sense of |
|
humor, she kept everyone laughing, and her vibrant personality |
|
brightened the days of innumerable people; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her days were far too few, D'Lisa Kelley |
|
brought great joy into the lives of her friends and family members, |
|
and she will forever hold a cherished place in their hearts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of D'Lisa Kelley and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her son, |
|
Dunyae Dupree; to her mother, LaSondra Kelley; to her father, |
|
Timothy Gunter Sr.; to her grandparents, Roy and Marjurita Kelley |
|
and Frank Gunter; to her sisters, Jasmine and Lashaun Steward; to |
|
her brother, Timothy Gunter Jr.; to her nieces, Adrianna and Jayda |
|
Green; to her nephew, Adrian Green Jr.; and to her many other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of D'Lisa |
|
Kelley. |
