R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Students from Silsbee High School distinguished
  themselves with their performances at the UIL District 24-4A
  Academics Spring Meet on April 11, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Facing off against talented competitors from around
  the area, Silsbee was represented by 40 students in 17 different
  academic events; the team earned 119 total points, and eight
  students secured a spot at the regional meet, including Dakotah
  Kilday, Keleigh Trabing, Rachel Cascio, and Kristen Key in literary
  criticism, Karan Korpal in calculator applications, Sarah Harper in
  journalism, Jennifer Watters in computer science, and Sheridyn
  Johnston in ready writing; and
         WHEREAS, With their efforts in UIL Academic competition,
  these bright young Texans have proudly represented Silsbee High
  School, and the dedication they have demonstrated is sure to serve
  them well in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize the students from Silsbee High School
  for their participation in UIL Academic competition and extend to
  them sincere best wishes for continued success; and be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
