R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce are
  visiting Austin on May 21, 2015, to celebrate Texas-Israel Day at
  the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, The people of Texas and the people of Israel have
  many common values and interests, and the growing business between
  the two plays an important role in their respective economies; and
         WHEREAS, Major areas of interest that Texas and Israel share
  are energy, water, and health; examples of the beneficial
  relationship between the two include the discovery of natural gas
  in Israel by Noble Energy and the Lone Star State's use of
  groundbreaking Israeli water technology to help it solve its
  ongoing water problems; and
         WHEREAS, In light of the joint economic and developmental
  activities in which Texas and Israel are participating, it is truly
  fitting that a day be set aside to celebrate their longstanding
  friendship and to foster an even closer relationship; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize May 21, 2015, as Texas-Israel Day at
  the State Capitol and extend to the members of the Texas-Israel
  Chamber of Commerce sincere best wishes for a productive visit to
  Austin.
