R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Robinson High School girls' |
|
|
junior varsity tennis team distinguished themselves with their |
|
|
performance at the District 17-4A Tennis Tournament on April 10, |
|
|
2015, capturing the district championship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Rockets were led by the mixed doubles teams of |
|
|
Natalie Zavaleta and Christopher Bettinger in first place and |
|
|
Abygale Herring and Jesse Smith, who finished in third place; |
|
|
Ashley Rose was the runner-up in singles play, and the doubles team |
|
|
of Hannah Laskoskie and Victoria Lopez claimed second place honors |
|
|
as well; the team received valuable guidance throughout the |
|
|
tournament from coach Jodi Olson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the District 17-4A |
|
|
tournament, these talented student-athletes have continued the |
|
|
Robinson High School tradition of athletic achievement, and the |
|
|
students may take justifiable pride in the skill and dedication |
|
|
they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Robinson High School girls' |
|
|
junior varsity tennis team on its performance at the District 17-4A |
|
|
Tennis Tournament and extend to the team's athletes and coaches |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
