R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Jacob Turner, an eighth grader at Midway Middle |
|
|
School in Waco, has earned well-deserved recognition for his |
|
|
success at the 2015 regional spelling bee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, At the event, Mr. Turner triumphed over 10 other |
|
|
students from the county to take first prize and qualify to compete |
|
|
in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his involvement with the regional spelling |
|
|
bee, Jacob Turner has demonstrated great initiative and ability, |
|
|
and he may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Turner on winning the 2015 |
|
|
regional spelling bee and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Turner as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
