R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Andrew Harmon, a sophomore at Colmesneil High
  School, was chosen to represent the Jasper-Newton Electric
  Cooperative at the 2015 Government in Action Youth Tour in
  Washington, D.C.; and
         WHEREAS, Each year, the Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative
  sponsors two area high school students to attend the Government in
  Action Youth Tour in our nation's capital; this prestigious honor
  is determined by a committee of JNEC members, and winners are
  recognized for their academic achievements as well as other
  merit-based factors; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Gina Harmon-Gray, Mr. Harmon will be
  afforded the opportunity to enhance his knowledge of electric
  cooperatives and rural electrification issues over the course of
  the nine-day tour; moreover, this bright young Texan will also meet
  with lawmakers to get a better understanding of the workings of the
  federal government and visit the multitude of historical sites and
  museums that D.C. has to offer; and
         WHEREAS, Andrew Harmon has distinguished himself through his
  hard work and dedication both in and out of the classroom, and he
  may indeed take great pride in his achievements; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew Harmon on his selection as a
  2015 Government in Action Youth Tour representative for the
  Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Harmon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
