R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Hunter January, a senior at McGregor High School, |
|
|
has signed a national letter of intent to continue his athletic |
|
|
career at the collegiate level; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A gifted quarterback for the McGregor High football |
|
|
team, Mr. January will play for the University of Kansas beginning |
|
|
in the fall of 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Joe and Carla January, this talented |
|
|
student-athlete earned all-district honors for the 2014 season |
|
|
after leading the Bulldogs to a berth in the University |
|
|
Interscholastic League state playoffs; Mr. January has also |
|
|
excelled as an all-district basketball and baseball player for |
|
|
McGregor, and he was a regional qualifier for the golf team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Hunter January has pursued his goals through hard |
|
|
work and an enduring commitment to excellence, and he may take great |
|
|
pride in all that he has accomplished as he looks ahead to a future |
|
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Hunter January on signing a |
|
|
national letter of intent to play for the University of Kansas |
|
|
football team and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. January as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
