R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lauren Berry of Hewitt was crowned Miss Waco Teen at |
|
|
the Miss Waco Pageant on April 12, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A young woman of exceptional poise and |
|
|
determination, Ms. Berry has participated in a number of pageants, |
|
|
and her victory in Waco qualifies her to compete in the Miss Texas |
|
|
Teen Pageant; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Trina Berry and Jimmy Berry, this |
|
|
accomplished Texan is a student at Midway Middle School, where she |
|
|
is a 2015-2016 junior varsity cheerleader and has been a member of |
|
|
the FFA and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lauren Berry has demonstrated exemplary dedication |
|
|
in successfully pursuing her goal, and she is a source of great |
|
|
pride for her loved ones, her school, and her community; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lauren Berry on being named Miss |
|
|
Waco Teen and extend to her sincere best wishes for a bright future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Berry as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
