R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may bring comfort to |
|
|
the family and friends of Verle O. Crick of Corpus Christi, who |
|
|
passed away on February 28, 2015, at the age of 95; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born to William and Arletta Crick in Harlingen on |
|
|
November 29, 1919, Verle Crick served his country as a member of the |
|
|
United States Navy during World War II; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, He married the former Ruth Hughes in April 1942, and |
|
|
they were the proud parents of two children, Bob and Verletta; the |
|
|
family moved to Hart in 1952, where Mr. Crick farmed with his father |
|
|
for a number of years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Verle Crick lived a caring and purposeful life, and |
|
|
he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who held |
|
|
him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Verle O. Crick and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
daughter, Verletta Crick; to his daughter-in-law, DeLynn Crick; to |
|
|
his grandchildren, Tara Mizell, Brian Wolf, Barbara Smith, Kyle |
|
|
Crick, and Kaci Stuart; to his three great-grandchildren; to his |
|
|
niece, Linda Smith; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Verle |
|
|
Crick. |
