R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Bailey Goins of Chester High School garnered |
|
|
well-deserved recognition for his performance at the 2015 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League 1A Golf State Tournament, held |
|
|
April 29-30 in Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against other top Texas high school |
|
|
golfers at Lions Municipal Golf Course, Mr. Goins posted |
|
|
consecutive solid rounds to finish in a tie for 14th place with a |
|
|
two-day total of 177 strokes; moreover, he secured his trip to state |
|
|
with an impressive showing at the Region 4-1A tournament in Manor, |
|
|
where he claimed fourth place and medalist honors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through hard work and an unwavering commitment to |
|
|
excellence, this talented student-athlete has earned a place among |
|
|
the Lone Star State's top 1A golfers, and he may indeed take |
|
|
justifiable pride in his outstanding accomplishment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Bailey Goins on qualifying for the |
|
|
2015 UIL 1A Golf State Tournament and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Goins as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
